Absences/Make-ups

There are no make-ups for student absences.  If a child misses one or two days, while there is no credit issued, we will try to provide extra help to the child during class time.  Please notify the supervisor either prior to the absence or upon your child’s return to class.

If a child misses more than two classes, a credit will be issued for every day missed, after deducting the $50 deposit.  A partial credit is given for the third day of absence, plus we will try to give them some extra help upon their return to class.

 

Withdrawals

If a child withdraws from class, during the first two days of class, a credit will be issued for the days missed, after deducting the $50 deposit fee.

 

Thunderstorms

When thunderstorms are in the immediate pool area, class may be delayed or cancelled.  You can go to our SOS Update page for class cancellation updates.  However, unless we post a cancellation to the website, please plan to come to class as usual.  Storms sometimes pass quickly, and we are only out of the pool for a short time. We use this opportunity to give safety talks.  If we cancel class, we will try to make-up the missed time by adding a Saturday make-up or lengthening class time.  If we are unable to make up the class, a cash refund will be made for the time missed. 

 

Road Flooding

In case of flooding on Beckley Mills Rd., we will meet you at the beginning of that road and re-route you to the pool.  Classes on those days will start fifteen minutes later than usual for the entire day.
